BC as a space for art-practice is conceived as a house that hosts many ideas and point of views, a venue for arts to fuse and multiply.

Vivek Moktan

After a failed attempt to finish his 12th standard, he started working with children with special needs and he realised the need for art in education. Coming from Darjeeling with rather limited exposure to the outside as well as to education, he was mesmerised and fascinated with almost everyone and everything he encountered when he moved to Delhi with hopes of pursuing a formal education in social work. After repeated failure in engaging with formal education he lost interest and faith in formal institutions and also retracted into himself. But soon he found work as an in-house designer at People Tree and it gave him the space to experiment with different modes of production, while interacting with other designers and artists. Working sporadically yet obsessively, he made many drawings, puppets, designs. A few of his works, large and small are on display at the gallery at the show Stutter in your eloquence
